Few of us can buy an off-the-rack outfit and have it fit like a glove, and nor should we expect an out-of-the-box ERP system to fit a business perfectly without some tweaking.

A switched-on salesperson or consultant can add real value, and generate additional business, by offering a fitting service - using their expertise, and the right tools, to help tailor a solution that meets the unique and ever-changing needs of their clients.

Tailoring your System

 

What do you do when the best-fit ERP solution falls far short of a perfect fit? Do you accept defeat and change your operations to fit the features and limitations of the software, or embark on radical (and costly) IT surgery?

Fortunately Sage 300 lends itself to a high degree of tailoring, allowing you to adjust an arm or a leg without it costing you one of each. You just need to find a skilled tailor (business partner) who has access to the best tools (likely to include tightly integrated add-on modules).

At Orchid Systems we like to think of ourselves as being "Toolmaker to the Tailors".

EFT Processing PU2 - Payroll & Encryption Enhancements

We've just released EFT Processing v2018 PU 2.0 (plus new PUs for v2016/17), with these new features requested by our users: 
  • Ability to password-protect emailed Remittance Advices (for EFT Vendor/Customer/Employee)
  • In EFT Payroll, the ability to email the employee's Pay Stub/Slip, T4 or Releve 1, all with optional password protection.

Sage retires EFT Direct AR/AP, recommends Orchid EFT

Sage North America recently announced the retirement of their Sage EFT Direct (Payables & Receivables) products, effective 1-Aug-2018. They have recommended Orchid's EFT Processing module as a replacement for impacted Sage 300 users.
 

New Info-Explorer Sample Cube (IC Stock Aging)

Our new IC Stock Aging sample cube is now available for downloading. Note that it uses an SQL Stored Procedure, which needs to be created in your database for the cube to work. Read this KnowledgeBase article for details.
